Christopher Plummer is a prolific actor and voice talent, who has been acting in movies since 1958. His big break was in the famous film The Sound of Music. Since then he's starred in numerous films, TV shows, and done voices on animated works. He was finally nominated for an Oscar for his role in The Last Station at age 80, but didn't win an Oscar until he was 82 for his role in Beginners. It would be hard to list all of the roles he has had for more than fifty years.
Don Bluth and Gary Goldman commissioned him to provide the voice of Henri for An American Tail, and he recorded the voice in spring 1985, using the French accent he got from growing up in Quebec, Canada. Plummer also sings in the song Never Say Never, which he sang in only two or three takes. He would work for Bluth again providing the voice of the villainous Grand Duke in Rock-a-Doodle.
